Orbea releases new helmet line

Orbea has released a new line of 2019 helmets.

The range includes the R10, the R10 Aero and the M50 mountain bike helmet, as well as new colours in the R50, H10, youth and kids models.

The R10 is the flagship helmet, with four-layer TC technology including EPS foam core, moulded polycarbonate shell, nylon mesh and carbon fiber.

The nylon and carbon fiber internal layers reinforce the helmet’s structure making the R10 15 per cent lighter than Odin, the brand has said.

Orbea has also claimed that the R10 is three per cent more aerodynamically efficient than standard road helmets.

The R50 features ‘simpler’ construction than the R10 and the low internal touch point (ITP) index translates into fewer points of contact inside the helmet.

It also has 19 vents as well as breathable pads and inner mesh fabric.

The M50 mountain bike helmet has 23 vents, and the EPS foam core and polycarbonate shell were developed using two-layer TC Technology to combine low weight and durability.

The H10 also has an low ITP index, as well as 25 vents and two-layer TC construction.

The Sport City and the Orbea Sport Kids helmet were developed using the two-layer TC technology.
