British Cycling champs lauded in Parliament

The sport of cycling got a lengthy endorsement in Parliament on Wednesday during a speech by Jane Griffiths MP, the chair of the All Party Cycling Group. Her speech mentioned the success of the GB Team at the recent Track World Championships and was responded to, at length, by arts minister Estelle Morris.

Halfords reports sales growth

Halfords Group today released a trading update for the 52 weeks to 1st April 2005. Sales have increased by 8.6 per cent compared with the 53 weeks ended 2nd April 2004, and by 10.5 per cent compared with the 52 week period in the previous year.
