With immediate effect Paligap Limited has taken on UK distribution of MEKK Bicycles.
The current range will be available to dealers from late April while Paligap’s full launch will be taking place in July with our other bicycle brands.
In the few short years of MEKK bikes existence, the fledgling UK owned bike company has forged a big reputation for quality bikes at great prices, Paligap said. MEKK have always believed in supporting the IBD network by pricing their bike to compete favourably with direct-to-market online retailers.
MEKK has recently expanded the reach of the brand beyond UK shores and are now to be available in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and South America.
Mekk’s founders Mark Edwards and Ken Knight and their team have been searching for the ideal partners to take MEKK further into the UK market.
Edwards explained: "The UK is vitally important to MEKK, but with our small dedicated teams time being split between UK design, our Taiwanese manufacturing and also promoting the bikes to new territories; We’ve decided that MEKK needs a strong partnership with a strong brand distributor. That will enhance our supply to our existing IBD’s and expand our top performing bikes into more stores; the logical choice of distributor is Paligap. MEKK fits into their existing brand line-up and Paligap’s proven track record with the IBD dealer network will mean our customers are better served."
2014 promises to be a big year for MEKK bicycles as alongside the business becoming global they have an enhanced range of bikes at more competitive prices and new platforms debuting, including an all new TT/Triathlon machine and a Track bike at £799.
