Following yesterday’s announcement that ATB Sales and Marin have parted ways, Paligap has today announced that it will take on distribution with immediate effect.
“We greatly appreciate the efforts of ATB Sales in building the Marin brand in the UK over the years and wish them well for the future, but we have concluded however that our interests are best served by working with a new partner in the UK”, said Marin CEO Matt VanEnkevort.
VanEnkevort commented further, “This change in distribution partners does not represent a change in our distribution strategy. We are committed to the Independent Bicycle Dealer. Marin will not be sold by the online retailers, or in non-IBD channels.”
“Paligap Limited has a proven track record of brand building and delivering best-in-class service to its retail customers. We look forward to supporting Paligap as they build on our heritage as a major player in the UK market”, added VanEnkevort.
UPDATE: Paligap managing director David Lane commented: “Paligap and the team behind the company have successfully built a number of premium bicycle brands over the last 28 years. The opportunity to work with Marin is something we are looking forward to, and we are confident we can grow the brand into becoming a major player once again in the coming years.”
Paligap will be receiving Marin inventory in November and will distribute the bikes from its Bristol facility. Paligap will be supporting Marin with a full warranty back up service from October 15th: Paligap Warranty are on 01454 313116 and warranty@paligap.cc
Paligap also recently announced the addition of Selle San Marco saddles to its portfolio.
