Pat Morris lauded at party for her 49 years of serving the industry

Pat Morris, the former secretary of the Coventry-based Bicycle Association, was yesterday celebrated at a party in her honour. The party was hosted in the Old Joint Stock in central Birmingham. Attending the party were Pat’s husband and two children, five past presidents of the Bicycle Association as well as other industry grandees.

Pat joined what was the forerunner of the Bicycle Association as a 16 year old in 1963. She left to raise a family in 1975, rejoining the organisation two years later, making for 49 years of employment, 37 of them continuous.

There will be an article on Pat’s contribution to the industry in a future issue of the magazine. (I spent two hours interviewing Pat yesterday and will try to include as many of her wonderful memories as possible.)
