New Pearson Performance Concept Store opens in Sheen

Pearson Cycles also the youngest bicycle shop in the UK?

For the time being, Pearson Cycles claims to be both the UK’s oldest and youngest bicycle retail store with the opening of a new ‘Concept Store’ in Sheen.

Co-directors of the business, Guy and William Pearson told BikeBiz: "We will, as always, be supplying some of the swiftest and most beautiful bicycles available to the road and tri market; however, you will also find some of the most exclusive international brands, from custom built Serotta to the extensive Ridley range. Flying the flag for Britain will be our own Pearson bikes. Come September, we will be releasing our new, 2012 collection of fine quality frames – directed by the Pearson brothers – with design concepts by fashion moguls Timothy Everest MBE and Tim Voegele-Downing (Burberry)."

Bike servicing and repairs will also be available from qualified Cytec technicians within the new branch.

The second location has also partnered with Cyclefit, which for the first time will be providing its bike fitting knowledge outside of its Covent Garden headquarters.

Guy Pearson said of this: "Our two SiCi bike fitting studios and qualified bike fit technicians will not only provide you a bespoke service to find your optimum position for comfort and efficiency but also advise you about the finest and most suitable bikes, frames and components on the market. Precision bike fits will also be available for customers with existing bikes, so the result, whether buying a new machine or tweaking your own, is a bike completely tailored to your body and cycling lifestyle."

Two adjoining sports therapy rooms will also enable the store to provide customers the best services from physiotherapy to sports massage on our upper level. Shower and changing facilities are also available for customers requiring a freshen up.

Further to this, the store also houses secure bike parking, an in-house cafe servinc Magnus Backstedt’s very own special coffee blend, with a donation from each cup going to cancer charity Christopher’s Smile.

Pearson will also stock own-brand technical attire, designed by the Tims. The new Pearson kit is set to drop shortly after the store opening date of 2nd September.
