Ryan Hiscoe has joined CSG UK as UK account manager for the Sugoi apparel brand.
Hiscoe joined the team in November, a few months after CSG snapped up distribution rights to Sugoi. Like CSG UK, Sugoi is owned by Canadian firm Dorel Industries, which also owns bike brands including Cannondale.
Sugoi will be available to all Cycling Sports Group dealers and a number have already place spring/summer 2012 orders for the running, cycling and triathlon ranges.
“The word Sugoi is Japanese for incredible and the latest range certainly lives up to the name,” enthused Hiscoe. “The product line is really excellent and competitively priced.”
Neil Merry, joint MD of CSG UK, added: “Sugoi complements our range of bike and P&A brands with a premium line of apparel. In Ryan we have the right man to go provide service to dealers old and new. Ryan has worked in the bicycle apparel business for several years and we hope to add his experience to the core competencies that the CSGuk team offer. We will be supporting Sugoi with PR and advertising in leading print and online media. We are confident we can grow the Sugoi business and offer a broader range to our IBD customer base.”
Business development Manager Ian Wagman, Ryan Hiscoe and UK Sugoi buyer Carl Brooker visit Canadian Sugoi HQ in December for the Fall/Winter sales meeting and to meet their new colleagues in Vancouver.
