CSG strengthens UK sales force for 2017

Cycling Sports Group UK has announced a strengthened sales force, which will provide improved service and a greater focus on customer service for 2017.

For the past six years, the CSG sales team has been brand-based, with two territory managers for Cannondale and three for portfolio brands such as GT, Mongoose, Charge, WeThePeople, Fabric, Sugoi and Sombrio.

The distributor has today announced that the field sales team will now handle all CSG brands, each with smaller territories. This will allow more frequent visits to dealers and more time to support CSG customers.

CSG says that moving to a single point of contact for dealers will vastly improve service. Four field-based territory managers will handle the complete CSG UK portfolio; Steve Howes will handle the north-west, Josh Whiting will handle the north-east and Scotland, Ady Turner will cover the south-east and Gary Adcock will take care of dealers in the south-west .

Along with these changes comes the promotion of Dave Page from within the existing field sales team. Page will now become the CSG key account manager.

Head of sales Ian Wagman commented: “Our newly invigorated team look forward to earning more of their dealers’ business on the many exciting products and initiatives we have planned. We continue to make the best products in cycling and our portfolio business means we can truly cater to the needs of the vast majority of UK IBDs.

“Cannondale remains one of the most sought-after brands in cycling. This week we are launching our new Cannondale Moterra E-MTB and Quick-E urban bikes, which have already been very successful in mainland Europe; the UK is really hungry for E-bikes and we have some of the best designs available.

“Fabric continues to win innovation awards and now has pumps and lights to complement its market-leading contact points business. We remain a one stop shop for BMX bikes and GT has benefited significantly from our relationship with Bike Channel, putting the GT and Sombrio into 17million households in the UK.”
