New managing director appointed at Pearl Izumi

Pearl Izumi will kick off the new year with the promotion of Matthias Reinacher, the current senior brand manager, to the role of managing director.

With current MD Juergen Sprich moving on to a new challenge with Swiss firm Cuore, Reinacher takes over on January 1st, having spent eight years in his current position.

Juergen Eckmann, Pearl Izumi’s president said: ”Matthias has been with us for eight years and knows our organisation, suppliers and retailers inside out. He brings a lot of experience and knowledge of soft goods to our team and is therefore the perfect candidate to replace Juergen Sprich as managing director of Pearl Izumi Europe.”

Reinacher will be challenged to reform the label’s soft goods division. Within one year, the soft goods of Pearl Izumi Europe and Shimano Europe will be centralized, executed and represented by Pearl Izumi Europe.
