Lisa Carter steps up from managing editor role

New publisher rides in for BikeBiz

BikeBiz has appointed a new publisher, heading up a stronger, more focused sales and editorial team.

Lisa Carter has taken over complete day-to-day control of the brand, driving editorial and commercial development, plus event management and bespoke solutions for the numerous business partners of BikeBiz.

Carter (nee Foster) relaunched BikeBiz as managing editor back in 2005 when Intent Media acquired the title. Since then, the brand has seen the launch of the BikeBiz Awards, now in their fifth year, and the re-launch of the popular cycle trade directory BikeBiz Bible.

Carter’s promotion to publisher sees her head up the BikeBiz editorial and sales team: Jonathon Harker as editor, Mark Sutton as deputy editor, Carlton Reid as executive editor and Carly Bailey as sales manager.

As well as driving the BikeBiz brand forward, Carter will be looking to launch associated events for the title going forward.

”Lisa taking this management role on BikeBiz completes a strengthening of the team ahead of further development for the brand,” said Intent Media managing director Stuart Dinsey.

“We are steaming towards 2013 with stronger reach than ever across print, online and social media.

“New initiatives for both brands will be rolled out between now and spring and I’m delighted that we will as ever focus on content and community as our main drivers.”
