New recruits at Camelbak and SM Group

Camelbak
Since May, CamelBak has actively added staff to the European team including the hiring of an International Marketing Manager, Kim Rogers (pictured top right). Rogers most recently managed international marketing at the University of Roehampton in London, and was also a former professional football player for Bayern Munich. The team has also promoted Heather Fritts to Sales Operations Coordinator and hired Alex Charsley as Customer Service/Warranty Support Coordinator. 

Meanwhile, the brand has also appointed Edi Kaiser as European Sales Manager. Based in Munich, Kaiser will focus on growing brand presence in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and will support all distributors to increase sales in Europe. Kaiser comes to CamelBak after serving as General Manager for Germany and Austria at Skins and prior to that, Sales & Marketing Director at Spyder. Kaiser will report to Andrew Shand, Senior Director of Sales (EMEA), who is based in London.

SM Group
Plymouth based specialist distributor of outdoor leisure firm SM Group has brought two new members of staff to the team following the company’s appointment as exclusive UK distributor of US backpacking brand Sierra Designs.

Anthony Wilbourne has been appointed as Digital Marketing Manager, overseeing all the online marketing campaigns, SEO, Social Media management, website management and site traffic reporting, as well as designing all brochures, e-mail marketing campaigns and advertising creative for the company’s brand portfolio. After graduating with honours as a front end web designer at Plymouth University, Wilbourne gained experience as a designer at Pro-Direct Sport, where he worked on projects for Nike, Adidas and Puma.

Jon Lees joins SM Group as Outdoor Sales Administrator to support the dedicated outdoor field sales team and provide customer support. Lees’ responsibilities include customer services, management of customer databases as well as providing support at trade shows and events. He also manages the sales of ‘Oxford Rider Essentials’ brand in the outdoors industry.
