Richard Hemington, managing director of Specialized UK since 1989, stepped down from this role in September. Specialized USA has now issued a statement regarding Hemington’s current position:
"Richard is coming back to Specialized, but will not return as the Managing Director. For the past 26 years Richard has led, and driven the Specialized brand in the UK to new heights and with great success. We remain thankful and inspired by what he helped Specialized build in the UK and throughout the world.
"Richard will take on a global role and will be reporting to the Founder, Mike Sinyard He will work with Mike to help drive key initiatives for the Specialized business."
Specialized UK director of sales Steve Cole and director of finance Allister Pigott are currently running the business.
