The historic science magazine joins Wired, Outside & a bunch of bike mags at event to be staged in Deer Valley, Utah, in June.

Popular Science headlines list of media attending PressCamp 2013

The 2013 PressCamp will be the event’s fifth consecutive year. It has been held in Park City, Utah, for the last four years. (The first staging of the event was in Sun Valley, Idaho, in 2009). Editors, bloggers and major league podcasters get to spend quality, one-on-one time with brands at morning meetings and then the media are let loose on Deer Valley’s trail system

Lance Camisasca, founder of PressCamp, said:

"We set out with a goal of filling twenty five luxurious Deer Valley Resort condos with twenty five compelling brands to meet with editors from North America and Europe. As of today we have just one condo left and then this turkey goes in the oven."

20 US based editors, both endemic and non-endemic, will be attending the luxe event, plus seven others representing international titles from the UK, Spain, Italy, France and Germany. BikeBiz has been at all PressCamps to date (we like turkeys).

PressCamp 2013 will be held June 17th to 21st in the resort’s Silver Baron Lodge complex.

"Product testing for all bicycle product segments is just a roll out the backdoor," said Camisasca, former event director at Interbike.

"There’s incredible lift assisted XC and DH riding, legendary road loops and numerous urban segment ride."

As well as Popular Science magazine, the event has attracted editors and writers from Outside, VeloNews, Wired, Singletrack, Cycling Plus and MBUK of the UK, Los Angeles Times, Pinkbike.com, Dirtrag, and trade magazines BikeBiz and Bicycle Retailer.

The media will get face to face meetings with condo-based representatives from brands Boardman Bikes of the UK (the first time the Chris Boardman branded bike company has attended PressCamp), Camelbak, Cannondale, Answer, Capo, Clif Bar, Culprit, Enve, Fezzari, GT, Guru, Hayes, Hutchinson, Kali, Knog, Manitou, Marzocchi, Mongoose, Niner, Orbea, Reynolds, Stan’s NoTubes, Schwinn, Sugoi, Sun Ringle, Turner and Wheelsmith Spokes.
