Suffolk bike shop held the evening with Lazer to celebrate a new dedicated women's department

Pro teams turn out for Revel Outdoors ladies evening

Revel Outdoors in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, has this week opened a new dedicated women’s department.

To celebrate the launch the bike shop held a ladies evening in association with Lazer. Three Lazer-supported teams came along with Lotto Soudal pro cycling team cutting the ribbon and both Wiggle Honda and Ale Cipollini also attending.

Oliver Collins, senior brand manager at Madison for Lazer, said the distributor and brand were keen to support Revel Outdoors’ event while also drawing attention to Lazer’s new helmet range for women.

Over 35 women shared a glass of wine at the evening and had the opportunity to win Lazer cycling goodies in a raffle.

Revel’s refitted store on Brentgovel Street now features distinct men’s, women’s and children’s departments across the three floored store. Store owners Sarah and Jamie Wightman said that over the last few years they have noticed an increase in women taking up the sport: "We thought it was a perfect time to create a dedicated women’s section so we could fully showcase the best products in the most suitable way."

The new look store is at 19-20 Brentgovel Street, Bury St Edmunds.
Opening hours: 9am – 5.30pm Mon to Sat, late night opening on Wednesday 10.30am to 7pm.
