Just a mere 200g for the three-piece set

adidas brings ‘lightest cycling kit’ to market

Weighing just 200g, adidias’ adizero cycle kit of jersey, bib shorts and socks is being touted as the lightest cycling kit ever released to market.

The adizero jersey will set you back £100 and £120 for the bibshort. The ankle socks aren’t quite ready yet and will arrive summer 2015.

The jersey picked up a Eurobike Gold Award last year. Ergonomically cut with a low-profile, it features back pockets and underarm ventilation. It’s made of 88 per cent Polyamide and 12 per cent Elasthane and weighs 65g. Laser cut edges and Ligiero sleeve fabric have helped shave the weight. The bibshort has a ‘barely there’ feel and a triple-density TMF pad and active FORMOTION design, with a 73 per cent Polyamide and 27 per cent Elasthane mix (99g for the medium).
