Team up with Datatag sees brand beef up security right across the e-bike range

Batribike takes on cycle thieves with security tagging as standard

Pitched as a first for the electric bike market, all bikes from Batribike are to have the Datatag security marking system fitted as standard.

The UV marking system will be placed strategically on the battery, frame, forks and other key areas, while ‘Datadots’ are being used to mark components including the e-bike display. A warning label will also be installed on the bike with a QR code that when scanned with flash up if the bike is of interest to the police, including data regarding the colour and make of bike. The security measures are fitted at warehouse.

Showcasing the new development at The London Bike Show, the brand told BikeBiz that there’s been no increase in price with the addition of the Datatag security.

Dealers are being urged to use the ramped up security as a marketing tool – insurer Velosure is offering a discount on bike insurance if bikes are tagged, providing a tangible benefit to customers.

The firm added that there’s been a good positive response from dealers, not least because there is provision for those retailers who are already sitting on Batribike stock. Find out more here www.batribike.com/datatag
