Cube Bikes has released details of its brand new Two15 Downhill bike.

In development since autumn 2008, the first rideable prototypes of the Two15 were ready by 2009 and last year Cube began testing with the Fox DHX-RC4 shock. Later in 2010 the firm began to work closely with Eamon Cleere at Fox Racing to develop the ratios and suspension curve and how to get the best out of the Fox DHR-RC4 shock. The bike has previously been seen at the Riva Bike Festival in Italy.

Cube designer Gregor Dauth was behind much of the aesthetic of the design, the man also behind Cube’s Dual Trail Control Bikes.

“The Cube Two15 is stacked with the latest technology and utilises Cube's Triple Linkage Kinematics,” explains designer Michael Prell. “These kinematics have allowed us to achieve the suspension ratios and characteristics we have been searching for.”

Prices have yet to be confirmed but the bike will be available to order soon, the firm said. The Two15 passes DinPlus testing, as with the rest of the Cube range.

Cube’s 2011 product range includes 175 different road, MTB, cross, tri and trekking bikes, with ergonomically adapted women’s and kids bikes also available alongside a clothing and accessory range.

The brand recently opened a Cube Bikes Store in Berlin.
