Own branded cycle insurance product available to the market

New cycle insurance retailer Worry+Peace teams with Paria

Insurance store Worry+Peace runs own-branded insurance products and is now moving into the cycle marketplace.

Priding itself on offering "minimum amount of fuss" insurance, Worry+Peace launched into the travel, phone and gadget insurance space earlier this year, teaming up with the likes of Pocket Lint, among others.

Now Worry+Peace has linked up with Paria cycle apparel, itself a new brand on the block, with the duo also creating a series of cycling apparel designs.

“We’re all about lifestyle, so this collaboration to develop our creative mantra with other inspiring brands is really exciting,” said Worry+Peace founder James York. “Paria are a fresh and confident challenger brand in the growing urban cycling market – and we relate to that!”

The collaboration will see a Worry+Peace “team” jersey designed by Paria made available for competition prizes and a limited run on the Paria site.

“When you hear the word ‘insurance’, you usually cringe, flinch or wince. Or unwittingly do all three at once!” said Paria’s Sam Morgan. “Weirdly, that wasn’t the case here. Worry+Peace told us about their mission and we saw a great brand fit. We’re all about challenging the way things are, so are they.”

The firm told BikeBiz: "This is a different way of selling insurance. It’s not something seen as a lot of fun but we take care of the boring back-end." Worry+Peace is seeking further collaborations in the cycle market.
