Powabyke launches online spare parts portal

National consumer helpline also in the offing for brand
Publish date:

Electric bike brand Powabyke has launched Powashop – an online portal where customers can order spare parts, accessories and upgrades and have them delivered direct.

Dealers will now be able to log on and get parts at trade prices – and deliver them direct to the customer.

The firm said Powashop will give Powabyke a ‘no-hassle’ approach to serviceability and confirmed that it won’t be selling bikes straight to consumers on the site.

“The new Powashop is proving very successful already and has created a lot of interest from the existing customers,” enthused Powabyke MD Nick Child. “Our trade customers can use the site as their own portal and deliver items direct to their retail customers without having had to hold expensive items in stock. To promote the e-sales further we are offering free delivery on all items.”

Child stressed: “We will not be selling bikes direct on the site as we strongly believe that the IBD is the vital link in a ‘safe and sensible’ route to market for our brand.

“With an ever increasing number of second-hand Powabykes being sold, via websites such as e-bay for instance, we are constantly being asked by end users for technical help and in direct response we will be launching a national technical helpline for the public to use, this is in addition to the ‘trade only’ service we currently support our dealers with.

“The Powashop is all about supporting the brand for the future and to help establish it as the number one electric bike in the eyes of the public.”

Powashop can be accessed on the www.powabyke.com homepage.
