Retailers invited to take stock of Brit made tourer

Stanforth adds Kibo+ expedition build

Stanforth has built on its popular UK made Kibo platform, introducing the up-specced Kibo+.

Added features include a Reynolds 631 fork, artisan Paul Components brake levers and cantilever brakes, an XT crankset, XT front derailleur and XT hubs, as well as Brooks brown leather slender lock-on grips. The paint finish is the icing on the cake – a stylish British Racing Green, adorning a frame that offers three bottle cage bosses.

It will come with Halo Twin Rail skin wall tyres as standard, but both the cream Continental RetroRides or Marathon Mondials can be fitted on request.

“We’ve spent time listening to customers about the type of cycling and bike they want – there’s a growing demand for a well made robust bike that has no limits on where it can take them – whether that be off-road or around-the-world. There was a gap in the market for a premium, tough, stylish all terrain touring bike,” says Simon Stanforth.

The inspiration behind the Kibo was the Cranes conquering of Kilimanjaro by bicycle 30 years ago. For Simon Stanforth ‘it showed what was possible on a bicycle, it showed there were no limits where a bike could take you.”
