Chris Boardman, Martyn Ashton and Patrick Seabase will be among the speakers lined up for ‘The Summit’ – a public cycling conference held as part of the Spin London and Spin Manchester shows.
The shows run in May – London (20-22 May, 2016) and Manchester (6-8 May, 2016) – and the Saturday of each show will be dedicated to women in cycling.
‘Lance’ will be attending the London show, a five star production which featured at the Edinburgh Fringe.
The first show in Manchester will debut the Cycling Plus Bike of the year shortlist presented alongside a round table review of the top bikes. The display will travel to the London show two weeks later.
Premium brands including Bianchi, Boardman, Moulton, Brompton, Chicken Cycle Kit (Cinelli), Kask, Oakley, Sarto, Fondriest will showcase their wares as will distributors like 2×2 and Velobrands alongside Spin’s usual mix of fresh bike, fashion brands, tech and lifestyle exhibitors and retailers.
Spin is looking to select a maximum of 100 exhibitors per show, with international visitors up 25 per cent on the previous year.
Coffee festival ‘Cup North’ will complement the Manchester show with speciality coffee, cakes and workshops. In London, Workshop Coffee roasters will work with the show. Insurance company Bikmo has signed up in support as official insurer whilst Serious Law are confirmed as official legal partner.
