Firm introduces BMC for improved performance and looks

Quad unveils new tech

Quad has unveiled details of its forthcoming Brake Master Cylinder (BMC) brake lever design.

According to Quad, its brake lever has been completely redesigned to improve look and performance.

The BMC allows the reservoir to be in line with the stem rather than the handle bar – shortening the size and weight of the lever, and increasing the device’s power. Quad’s higher end brake sets Deuce, Sting Pro and Dime will use the new tech and will come tool free with a reach and bite adjuster.

The remaining hydraulic sets – the Sting and Axis – are also to be upgraded with the new BMC design, though only with adjustment control to suit the price bracket. New colours have also been introduced for the anodised adjusters.

Distributor Raleigh told BikeBiz that the new brake sets, which have already received praise from the consumer press, will be available to dealers soon.
