German bicycle design company brings product range to UK

Raleigh partners with Corratec

Raleigh UK has announced that it has partnered with Corratec, a German bicycle design company.

The new 2009 Corratec product range, including the brand’s new ‘2 Circle’ mountain bike suspension system, its new ‘CCT’ handmade full carbon monocoque frame designs, and a full range of premium specification road, mtb and urban models
will be debuted at Raleigh’s 2009 ‘Complete Cycling’ launch in January (18th – 23rd January).

Also on display will be the Corratec ‘Biometric bow’ system, a design system which offers an uncompromised level of stiffness, performance and comfort in their alloy mtb models.

“The opportunity to work with a design led brand, offering performance focused features in their entire range is very exciting. The entire Corratec range reflects the desire to offer the rider, of whatever persuasion, a performance, quality and importantly great value ride experience," said Mike Mudd of Raleigh UK

"Corratec have combined their unique frame concepts, with the most performance orientated componentry from brands such as Shimano, Fox, DT, Zzyzx, Selle Italia, and Continental; creating a perfect package.”

Konrad Irlbacher, IKO and Corratec CEO, said: “I started my business as a bicycle dealer and sold Raleigh bikes in my shop during the early 80’s. Therefore, I am proud to have an alliance with the famous Raleigh to distribute Corratec bikes in the UK.”

Thorsten Cornils, Corratec product manager, added:
“I am very glad and excited about this new partnership because Raleigh, an English and very esteemed brand with a long history of experience in the bike industry, and Corratec, a German brand of continuous innovation in design, technology and quality together will only mean a ‘win-win’ relationship.”
