Road Cycling UK portal adds new features and gets a fresh look

RCUK launches new site

Road cycling UK has relaunched its website to enhance user experience and improve technical performance.

RCUK’s new site – found at www.roadcyclinguk.com – now includes a blogs area where editors and a ‘special guest’ can publish their news, thoughts and gossip. User feedback has also led to the creation of a new review system that showcases professional and user reviews with increased accessibility and search facilities for visitors.

RCUK editor Richard Hallett enthused: “Everyone has been abbreviating our logo for years so it made sense to take it to the next level and incorporate that into the logo design. The new site has a clean, uncluttered feel that is easy to navigate.

“We wanted the new look site to reflect our desire to be the best in the market.”

The site uses Magicalia’s latest platform technology and was created in-house. According to the firm, the new investment follows revenue growth on the Magicalia bike portfolio.

Ed Marriage, publisher of Magicalia’s ‘active’ portfolio, said: “Feedback from the bike industry has been very positive and many of our advertisers are enjoying record breaking growth despite the economic downturn.”

“Clients are looking to build on their summer campaigns by investing more in online advertising in the run up to Christmas. The next quarter will be our busiest for advertising ever and our users can look forward to seeing some really exciting campaigns from some of the biggest bike brands.”
