The sales office and P&A division will remain at the central Birmimgham warehouse purchased last year. The new assembly facility will open early in 2004. The move has come about because of "increased volume in bicycle sales," said a company statement.

Reece to open Midlands assembly plant

As well as the addition of an assembly plant, there are other changes planned. Purchase and product design manager Jason Boness said new P&A lines are being added and will be available from late February 2004, coinciding with launch of the Reece 2004 P&A catalogue.

Tina Flanagan, who will be controlling all in house accounts and the internal sales staff, is now managing telesales.

With the recent departure of Kieran Murphy, Reece MD Philip Chu will now be "taking a more active role in the every day running of the business and management of the national sales force.," said a statement from Reece.
