Restrap secures distribution partnership with DiaTech in Japan

Restrap has secured a new exclusive distribution partnership with DiaTech in Japan.

Gaku Matsuno and the team at DiaTech confirmed interest in distributing the brand at the Eurobike show in 2018.

Founded in 2004 by a small group of MTB riders in Kyoto, Japan, DiaTech has established a network of over 1,100 dealers and its brand portfolio now includes Giro, Moots, Pedeled, Brooks, Knog, Assos, Pashley, and Five Ten.

“We know the concept of bikepacking is new to the market in Japan, but there is an established MTB and road cycling market so it fits that they have recognised that the trend will come to their country,” said Restrap international sales director Edward Kingston.

“The brand portfolio distributed by DiaTech products fits perfectly with our brand, an important step in our global expansion plans and means we now have distribution in most key territories in Asia.”
