1,500 ride in Bradley Wiggins Foundation debut

Yesterday (Sunday August 19th) the first Bradley Wiggins Foundation event – Ride with Brad – took place.

Starting from Barnoldswick, Lancashire, around 1,500 cyclists took part on the ride, which included 100km and 160km routes around the Olympic gold medallist and Tour de France winner’s favourite training routes.

Local bicycle parts manufacturer Hope hosted the post-ride press conference.

Wiggins said: “It’s really important for me to be able to put something back into sport, and the Bradley Wiggins Foundation will become my way of inspiring and helping others to achieve their best. Supporting and taking part in today’s event is just the first step in that process."
