The North American Handmade Bicycle Show is being staged this weekend in Denver, Colorado. The prizes for the best bikes and construction methods have been announced. In three of the categories no awards were given. A statement from NAHBS said: "In the best steel construction category there were no entries. In the best utility bicycle category there were three entries, and the judges were unanimous in their opinion that none of those entries measured up to the standard of last year’s award winners."

NAHBS showcases the talents of frame builders around the world whose functional art form is the bicycle. Since its first year in 2005, NAHBS has grown from a show with 23 exhibitors and 700 attendees, to 8100 attendees in 2012, and 200 exhibitors in 2013.
