Yes, the ACT has decided to hold its annual general meeting in sunny Newcastle, home to BikeBiz.com! Get your diaries out, though, the date on the recent mailing from the ACT has been changed, it's now 12th November, not the 19th.

ACT to hold AGM in world’s best city

Not only is the AGM being staged in the UK’s trendiest city (Liverpool as European City of Culture? pah!) but it’s in the UK’s trendiest art gallery, too.

The AGM will be held in the conference rooms at The Baltic, the award-winning art destination that just so happens to overlook the world’s best cyclist’s river crossing, the Millennium Bridge.

At last year’s AGM, the ACT released the IBD manifesto, a bold statement of aims from the rejuvenated IBD org. which ACT has made significant progress with during 2003, this is an increasingly influential event in the annual calendar.

"This year’s announcements will be more exciting and deliverable in the short-term, including CyTech cycling excellence 5 Star status," promised ACT president David Wilsher.
