ATB Sales is to launch dealerdirectbikes.co.uk which will show last season’s products at "attractive" online prices. The interactive website will take the customer through a series of questions – such as height, ride style, budget – and then suggest a tailored offering. Delivery – of the Whyte or Marin bikes – is via a local bike shop.
Ross Patterson, ATB Sales’ sales and marketing director said:
"The site will offer low online prices on last season’s bikes plus everything you would expect from your friendly bike store including a pre-delivery inspection, assembly by a local mechanic, expert advice and full warranty."
He added: "These are all official UK bikes, supplied through a local authorised dealer, complete with a full manufacturer’s warranty – guaranteeing complete peace of mind and the best possible deal.
"We really wanted to give dealers a way of attracting online shoppers into store while at the same time giving the end consumer the opportunity of buying a premium bike with the security of dealer support."
