15 of the 23 adult models remain unchanged

Avocet to absorb majority of price increases

Avocet sports has announced that it plans to absorb the majority of the price increases that have affected the adult bicycle range.

15 of the 23 adult Coyote models remain unchanged and the biggest increase is only £10 on RRP. None of the eight Viking road bikes have been increased and any other increases have been limited mostly to a £10 increase in RRP. Coyote Juniors increase £10 on RRP and the Coyote BMX range remains unchanged.

"The biggest increases will be seen on steel framed bikes and kids bikes," commented Wayne Clarke (Avocet Sales Manager).

Avocet has recently opened an office in the Soi 5 Sukhumvit district in Bangkok. The office is managed by James Walsh and is focussed on sourcing and sales in South East Asian countries. Avocet operate partner offices in Shenzhen and Kunshan in China, as well as having an office in Taichung (Taiwan).

"Sourcing good quality products is key to our business," said James Walsh. "and having an inspection team on the ground is essential to ensure quality is controlled".

James sold his company Momentum International to Avocet Sports Limited in March and moved to Bangkok at the end of April to set up the new office. Momentum is not currently trading, but will be used for a new Avocet venture later in 2008.
