Online orders up 20 per cent following improvements

Upgrades to Fisher Outdoor Leisure's B2B website have resulted in a rise in orders online, the firm has told BikeBiz.

Recent enhancements and added functionality have resulted in a 20 per cent increase in online orders, indicating that more retailers are choosing to manage part or all of their business purchasing online.

Recent improvements include an enhanced search facility, which is now faster and can be refined by brand and/or category. Customers can now also view forward orders and request cancellation of any back orders that have been fulfilled by other lines.

Other improvements include trade pricing - which can now be hidden or shown depending on who is allowed to view the product listings page. Also, when items are low or out of stock substitutes and alternatives will make ordering easy. Order history also now allows customers to track orders and backorders and search through them.

“It’s our aim to continually improve the experience our customers have with us, and so we have a continuous development programme in place on our e-commerce platform,” said E-commerce Manager Alex Sperling.

“We want to make using our business-to-business site as user friendly as possible, and will continue to introduce useful features that can help our customers manage their business with us more easily. Customer response to this recent upgrade has been excellent, and we believe that plans we have in place for launch next year will improve customer experience even further.”
