As well as the Cake suspension platform, Gary Fisher bikes feature a new GF logo. There's a new IBD-specific logo for Schwinn bikes. The Brooks logo gets stamped on leather tool rolls and cast spoke-keys. And Litespeed gets an in-house wheelset.

Bike brands rebranded at Eurobike

1: The new Gary Fisher logo is small and swirly.

2: When Pacific Cycle acquired GT/Schwinn, Schwinn bikes were sold to multiple retailers in the US, a move that led to resentment from long-time Schwinn-stocking IBDs. To offset such resentment, Pacific has created an IBD-only line of Schwinn’s, stickered up with the Schwinn Select Series logo. It’s this line that will be available in the UK via Moore Large, although the brand is already IBD-specific in the UK.

3: Out goes Maurice the Mongoose (he was felt to be too ‘kiddie’), in comes an arrow shaped from two Ms.

4: The American Bicycle Group’s Litespeed has a new, in-house wheel brand, Real Designs. They will soon be specced on all new Litespeed bikes.

5: Last week BikeBiz.com carried a story on the relaunch of the Brooks Swallow roadie saddle. In the flesh at Eurobike, they look very smart. Veggies beware, but it’s what cows were made for! Will Brooks get any pros riding them? With ti-rails, the Swallow is dead light and, with the hours pros put in each day, they’ll bed in a hard leather saddle within days… And the retro tool rolls look great too. Inside each one there’s a selection of, er, tools, including a Brooks-stamped spoke-key.
