2346 people signed the petition, nearly 8 percent of whom were doctors. That’s 186 doctors, a significant number.
An email will soon be going out to these doctors to make sure the PhD docs are split from the medics.
Cycle helmet compulsion is a contentious issue and needs to be debated by the BMA’s Annual Representative Meeting (ARM), not decided behind closed doors.
In 1999, BMA members voted to be pro-helmet, anti-compulsion.
