London-based folding bike firm joins April show roster

Brompton gets on board with Active Bike

Folding bike firm Brompton has signed up to the debut Active Bike and Triathlon show at ExCeL this spring.

The firm will exhibit its product ranges at the show, whcih takes place April 21st to 24th 2010.

Brompton marketing manager Emerson Roberts said: “Brompton is very pleased to be involved with the first Active Bike Show. While we value the importance of trade shows in introducing new products to our knowledgeable dealers, we also need to reach out direct to consumers, raising awareness of our products with the buying public.

"A consumer-focused show gives us the perfect opportunity to show people who might not at first consider a Brompton how it can revolutionise their travel habits and their daily lives, and to give would-be consumers a personal experience of this most practical of products.”

Both Future Publishing and IPC have also expressed support for Active Bike. The show organiser – Active Media Events – praised the industry for backing it:

“It’s really pleasing to see that the UK industry is showing such keen support of our new Show. The momentum is really building for the event, with a raft of enquiries in the last 4 weeks. We are confident that our pre-event remit of tapping into the growing sector of cycling-based consumerism in this country and offering a broad base of attractions and exhibitors for the attendees will be met.”
