Castelli announces new aero clothing

BikeRumor.com reports that Castelli has launched a new line of super-aerodynamic clothing, which is to be used by the Cervelo test team.

Castelli has found that two-thirds of aerodynamic drag comes from the rider, while the bike makes up the other third. The garments are designed to help blood flow to the muscles, maintaining the body’s optimum performance temperature and to smooth airflow around the body.

And now for the tech stuff – Castelli also claims that its new garments can save around 12 watts of power at 40km/h, meaning 40 seconds in an hour is shaved.
