Sir Digby said: “Cycling to work is an important issue for business – the more who do it, the more our communities will support it. Healthy and green, cycling is worthy of the support of every business in the land.”

Organised by Life Cycle UK, the cycle promotion charity, in partnership with the Government Office for the South West, the conference will examine ways in which businesses can encourage more of their people to commute by bicycle.

Peter Andrews, Director of Life Cycle UK, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting this important event and to be bringing together such a wealth of expertise. An increasing number of employers, both private and public sector, are making cycling a key part of their travel to work strategies. The Cycle Friendly Employers’ Conference will provide useful information and helpful advice based on best practice nationally.”

Places on the conference cost £150 per person (including lunch and conference pack). Discounts are available for representatives of cycle campaign groups and voluntary organisations.
