Prototype put through its paces in new Charge video

Charge Cyclocross rig on the way

Charge has uploaded a video of a new prototype titanium Cyclocross rig, dubbed the Freezer.

Road.cc speculates that the frame is "made from something very similar to the Tange Ultimate 3AL-2.5V butted titanium tubing," the same material used to form Charge’s titanium road bike.

Charge-sponsored rider Jon Watson shares his first impressions on the build within the video, stating that the titanium absorbs smaller bumps "very well".

Assuming no major changes are needed to the prototype it’s likely the bike will be on sale later this year.

Pictures of the rig can be seen here.
