We all know in this industry how difficult it is to cover overheads and hold margins. In recognising this, Corratec UK has listed consumer prices at no less than 50 percent mark-up, even if you are purchasing only one item, says New Zealander Frank Clavis of Corratec UK.
[On] our best seller in the range, FreeRide, the margins are even better on most models at 60 percent mark-up. No special deals, just level playing fields.
These bicycles offer above average margins, more bike for your money, equalling exceptional value.
As well as bikes a full rundown follows below Corratec UK is introducing a range of after-market Corratec ZZYZX range of components, clothing, tyres and tubes. ZZYZX was originally a US manufacturer of front shocks and other OE kit although was bought out last year by Corratec.
The UK company is designing a business to business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C) website.
Corratec produce 300 bikes a day. The UK company will eventually hold stocks in this country although will be getting next day deliveries from Germany to begin with.
Corratec UKs Frank Clavis is a veteran track rider. His son has the Corratec agency in New Zealand. Clavis Senior says Corratec is the third biggest bike brand in Germany and is looking to become the second biggest soon.
25 IBD stockists are being sought, starting next week.
The Corratec range includes MTB, road and trekking models, with the Freeride MTB bikes selling for £447 for an Alivio equipped bike to £1259 for a full XTR model.
