Government subsidy now available to budding mechanics through college courses

Cycle Systems Academy links with Havering College for discount courses

Cycle Systems has today announced a link up with Havering College which enables those enrolled on the cycle/green engineering course to benefit from Government subsidies.

“Up until now, students have had to pay for the course themselves” says Julia Lally, co-director and founder of the company. “Obviously, the interest in learning this skill has been huge and continues to grow. But we have always had students who are unable to find the funds who ask us if there is any way the training could be paid for.

“The answer is that now it can. We are very proud to have been sought out by Havering College as their primary partner for cycle/green engineering delivery.”

“What this means” adds Sean, co-director, “is that our prospective students are able to access Government subsidy to help them up-skill and further their training in this field.

“There is some eligibility criteria, of course. But crucially the funding is not age related, so now anyone over the age of 24 could be eligible for a very large discount on our courses.”

Funding is available until end March 2011.
