Journalist David Walsh has been named the favourite by Ladbrokes to win the autobiography/biography category at this year’s British Sports Book Awards. His book Seven Deadly Sins recounts his chase of drug-cheat Lance Armstrong and is already a multi-award winner. Of the eight books in the category, three are based on cycling. The other two are My TIme by Sir Bradley Wiggins and William Fotheringham’s book, Merckx: Half Man Half Bike.
The longlist is whittled down to a shortlist at a ceremony to be held at Lords’ cricket ground later today. The public can vote on the shortlisted titles.
