Cyclodelic to launch women’s bike apparel

Accessories brand will reveal clothing range at Cycle Show, and leads women-friendly seminars, too.
Publish date:

Cyclodelic had its bright cycling accessories range sold through Topshop’s flagship store on Oxford Street in the summer and is now moving into clothing.

"There's growing demand for beautiful yet functional cycle wear for women," said Cyclodelic's Amy Fleuriot.

The new range will be launched at London's Cycle Show tomorrow.

"Expect exquisitely cut outer layers in Autumnal plums, forest greens and midnight blues in peach skin wind and water resistant fabrics with gold fastenings and reflective detailing," said Fleuriot.

There will be baselayers made from Mongolian cashmere and reflective bamboo t-shirts printed at the UK’s only Soil Association registered t shirt printing company.

As well as having a stand at the show, Cyclodelic is also fronting a series of women-friendly bike seminars.

The Cyclodelic Girls' Guide to Cycling will feature "female cycling stars and leading fashion exerts to cater for a new breed of cycling sisters."

Taking place each day of the show (at 12:30 and 4:30) in the arena, the Girls' Guide to Cycling will be themed.

On Thursday there's a trade-only seminar, with input from Koy Thompson of London Cycling Campaign; Poppy Smith and Sam Haddad of Cooler Mag; Helen Pidd of The Guardian; Melissa Henry of Sustrans; and Carlton Reid, executive editor of BikeBiz.

Friday will be geared towards commuting; Saturday will focus on competitive cycling and feature Olympic gold medalists Victoria Pendleton and Shanaze Reade; and Sunday will investigate the fun side of cycling with a focus on cycling holidays and popular day out destinations for families.
