Dahon has announced that it will participate in Velo-City 2009 - the largest international conference devoted to integrating cycling into public transportation policy.
Dahon CEO, Dr. David Hon, will also speak at the Brussels-based conference on the subject of intermodal mobility.
”In the last 25 years we have seen first-hand the varied ways that portable bikes can contribute to a greener and better way of life,” said Dr. Hon. “City governments and
transport authorities have eased regulations and opened new opportunities for commuters to use bikes as an intermodal means of personal mobility. These are very promising first steps into an even more widespread rethinking of transportation in the next few years.”
Dr. Hon will also discuss Dahon's vision of urban mobility, as well as highlighting the potential of other light electric vehichles.
Velo-city, held from May 12th to 15th, is jointly organized by the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) and the city hosting the conference and has been held every other year since 1980.
