Friday's newspaper carried a double-page spread of a selection of UK cycle-related websites. Alongside big pix of leisure cycling were mentions of the 'pick of the cycle sites'. The Carol Vorderman-branded web section of the paper mentioned whycycle.co.uk first, and BikeBiz.co.uk second. Halfords.com came fourth and whilst there were mentions of wiggle.co.uk and the Evans Cycles website, Singletrack and Bikemagic didn't get mentions.

Daily Mirror carries DPS on best bike websites

The Daily Mirror article was entitled ‘Get on two wwwheels pick of the cycle sites.’

"If marvelling at the Tour de France has given you an urge to jump in the saddle, then the first step is finding the perfect bike," wrote Sheila Prophet.

"www.whycycle.co.uk provides all sorts of good basic guidance on styles and sizes and has tips on ensuring you don’t end up saddle sore.

"And according to www.bikebiz.co.uk "My bum hurts!" is the number one complaint from new cyclists.

Run by trade paper Bicycle Business, its info-zone is accessible to everyone and has plenty of information, as well as entertaining answers to common complaints, such as "Won’t I get all sweaty?" and "What about the rain?"
