Distributor i-ride is running a Euro style Gran Fondo event at the end of July.
A limited field of 1000 riders will be allowed to ride the Gran Fondo Eddy Merckx course based at Cricket St Thomas Hotel near Chard, Somerset. Merckx himself will be on site for the event over the weekend of July 31st, which will take in free gifts, a full event village, goodie bags and more.
i-ride will also have 2012 product in the VIP area and an Eddy Merckx 2012 Press and Trade product presentation on the Saturday afternoon.
i-ride is offering half price entry (£20 instead of £40) and VIP area access to its dealers at the event.
Gran Fondo Eddy Merckx Event Timetable
Saturday 30th July – Sign on day

2pm-7pm Registration, display and VIP area open
3.30-4pm Press and Trade presentation with Jan from Eddy Merckx Cycles on their 2012 Range

Public Trade Area will Include Merckx 2011, Zipvit, Fulcrum, Campagnolo Revolution 11 Test Bikes, Naqi Massage, Northwave, 3T, Continental, Deuter, TdF and offer clothing.
5pm-7pm Pasta Party (all riders welcome) and ‘Meet and Greet’ with Eddy Merckx in Event Village. Food being prepped by four star chef from Cricket St.Thomas Hotel.
5.30pm Prize draw of four Signed Quickstep Jerseys presented by Eddy Merckx, all Saturday attendees will receive a ticket free. Followed by 20 minute poster signing.
Sunday 31st July – Ride Day

Registration open 7am
Event start from 8am-9am first riders led out by Fulcrum-Performance Cycles neutral service cars. Eddy is riding!
All trade stands open 7am.

Naqi Massages available.

Post event pasta available for each rider.
