Dutch rim maker changes name

"For many people, the name Van Schothorst is difficult to pronounce and not easy to memorise," said Jan Willem ten Dam, formerly of Van Schothorst, now of Rigida International BV.

"Rigida is operating internationally and therefore an international name is more appropriate."

The Van Schothorst name will still be used for the company’s lower-end, stainless steel rims.
