Saddleback is to distribute ENVE Composites’ full range of products to cycle dealers in the UK.
Starting from spring, the deal includes ENVE’s full line of mountain bike products as used by Steve Peat’s Santa Cruz – Syndicate team.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to have Saddleback on board to continue to grow our line of rims, wheels and components in the United Kingdom,” said Beverly Lucas, Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing for ENVE. “I’ve worked with Saddleback in the past and their professionalism and dedication to the brands they partner with is second to none. We still believe in the value and experience of the independent bike shop, and our aim to partner with and support retail stores and their customers throughout the UK is just an extension of our roots. We have the confidence in Saddleback to grow our collective businesses, together.”
ENVE manufactures cutting edge composite cycling products and with its newly constructed 20,000 ft sq specialist manufacturing facility in Utah, the company is eyeing increased sales internationally. ENVE offers a complete line of aero road, track, cyclocross and mountain wheels as well as high end forks, handlebars, stems and seatposts.
Saddleback director Andy Wigmore added: “We are delighted to be partnering with ENVE Composites for 2011 onwards. It’s a brand we have been aware of for some time and see many similarities between our two companies. In addition to its current offering the company is developing some unique products that will change the way that people think about aerodynamics in wheels which we can’t wait to discuss. I am delighted that ENVE want to work with us and for the confidence they have shown in our ability to deliver a great service.
“As the established market leader of performance wheel distribution we have been looking to expand our share of this market for some time especially with the desire to provide a product that quality independent bicycle dealers can really get behind. The full ENVE product range will be available from Saddleback in Spring.”
