The new store will be located on Temple Street, co-located with a running shop

Evans to open in Brum

Mark Smith, Evans Cycles retail director, said: “We’ve always talked about a store in Birmingham as there is some great mountain biking to be had just over the border in Wales and superb road riding on the endless country lanes of the Midlands.

"Bike shops are under represented in Birmingham so it’s great to be able to open a store here to fulfil demand from the area’s cyclists.”

The new store is co-located with Up & Running, a running equipment retailer.

Smith said: “The fact that we’re growing in a time of economic upheaval is testament to the health of the cycling industry. And this isn’t the only new store on the cards, we’re looking forward to announcing a further two new store openings in early summer.”
