Taichung Bike Week organiser, Steve Fenton has told Bike Europe the venue for this year’s event has moved.
The Evergreen Hotel, working alongside the Tempus will host the event, which according to Fenton, will be open to around 75 to 85 bike companies.
Fenton told Bike Europe: “The Evergreen Hotel in Taichung has stepped up to the mark and are now working to accommodate the companies who were going to use the Splendor. The Evergreen and Tempus work closely together and in this case will be working hard to make this year’s Taichung Bike Week an even better event than in 2009. We plan to accommodate around 75-85 companies in the Evergreen and as we all know this is great as it is literally a two-minute walk between the Evergreen and the Tempus hotels.”
The previous venue, The Splendor Hotel, also in Taichung, were reported to "have their own ideas how to make the event work," that did not fit with the show organisers aspirations.
