Hi-Adventure, a company specialising in offering team-building adrenalin sports to corporate clients, is creating a 125 acre extreme sports facility at Sherington, just outside Newport Pagnell, not far from CoBR’s head office.
The extreme sports will include paramotoring, low-cost aviation based around powered parachutes, mountain boarding, sphere-riding and, of course, MTBing.
“We plan to cater for both the enthusiast and family cyclist right from the outset,” said CoBR’s Laurie Sedman.
“The enthusiast will initially gain a CoBR-fronted mountain bike racing course
complete with a CoBR-sponsored and organised race series. It is hoped that this course and the other facilities will be available seven days a week. The family and leisure rider will find a facility that will offer miles of safe and unspoilt rolling countryside suitable for cyclists of all ages and abilities.”
The cycle parts of the site will be officially launched on 16th and 17th June,
days one and two of the Festival of Cycling of which CoBR is one tenth of the organising committee.
16th June will see the CoBR Family Bike Day and the 17th will be the first race in the
CoBR Race series.
